Unfortunately it looks like the largest map it can take is 1000x1000 pixels-- the maps I'd want to load are almost 3,000 pixels.

    No, haven't seen that one, will have to look at it a little closer. But I am getting deeper into OziExplorer CE and have settled on using it on a Triton 1500 handheld plus a Maestro 5310 that I just got on sale for the car.

    The individual map segments I'm making are about 15,000x15,000 pixels, which is equivalent to 4 USGS quads plus about 20% overlap. I have the entire state of NJ loaded into this now (over 3gb) with full USGS 24k, 100k and 250k topo's. Next project is getting the NJ 2007 aerial imagery into ozi format :)
  • I found an alternative which I found to be much more useable. It's called Mapper (which I find a pretty unimaginative name, but that aside). It also seems to have problems with really big maps, but I emailed the developer and they told me they are working on a solution...

    It costs a bit more, but I think it's worth it.
