WAAS Compatibility

:?: Are any of the Maestro models WAAS compatible?

If the WAAS satellites are showin in your satellite table, are you getting signal strength readings from them? For example: SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) greater than 0?

The WAAS satellite for North America is (PRN 51).

I just bought a Maestro 4370 from amazon that always shows the WAAS satellite with a SNR of 0.

The WAAS satellite (PRN 51) is not even listed when I first turn the unit on. It pops up after the unit has acquired signals from the NavStar/GPS satellites (that are above the horizon).

Magellan specs claim the Maestro 4370 is WAAS compatible, but disabled obviously.

Positional accuracy would be less than 20 feet if these units utilized WAAS error correction, like my Delorme LT-40.

Did you check the settings? Some GPS devices have the ability to turn WAAS on and off.
