GPS for autos and Peds?

Are there any other GPS units similar to the Nuvi 660 that give you the option to route as a vehicle or a pedestrian?

Do the other Garmin models offer this? Any other brands?

Also, do other units have the option for various routes like the Megellan? Ie; shortest time/shortest distance/ most use of freeways?

I have narrowed my search down to the TomTom910 and Garmin Nuvi 660, but want to be sure I have not left out any others. I am also looking for the best bang for the $$.

I like the interface of the TomTom as well as the extended ability to use MAC. Looks like I'll prbably have to use a PC anyway even with their software.

I also like the text to speech option with names of places used.

Good thing I started early on this quest.
Found this website yesterday, too bad I didn;t find it two weeks ago!
