There's a link to his email address on his Zydeco page (way down at the bottom).

I don't want to post his address here in case there are email scraping bots looking at these pages.

He doesn't seem to have a link to his email address on his Garmin Tips & Tricks pages so I don't know if he uses a different email for Garmin related inquiries (vs. Zydeco related inquiries).

    His Zydeco page is http//

    Good for you! :D

Routes and waypoints need to be in a .gpx file in order for the Nuvi to use them. Will the DeLorme software export them in that format? If not, then GPSBabel can probably convert whatever format the program uses:

Once you get them into a gpx file, rename it Temp.gpx and copy it into the GPX folder on your Nuvi. This should be inside the Garmin folder. It is OK to delete an existing Temp.gpx file if you find one there.

When the Nuvi starts up, the waypoints will be automatically added to your favorites. Routes must be imported by pressing Menu > Tools > My Data > Import Routes.

I believe we have some other users of the Delorme software here, so I am changing the title of this thread to something more descriptive and they may be able to help.

Forgive my ignorance, but what does this have to do with the nuvi? :?
Gary Hayman has a huge website of "Tricks, Tips, Work Arounds, Hints, Secrets and Ideas" for nuvi's and other Garmin products at

I used his page as a guide for organizing my Custom POI files on my computer so that they'd be organized the way I wanted on my nuvi (the docs for POI loader didn't seem to provide a whole lot of information).

I mentioned the Zydeco page only because he doesn't seem to have his email address on his nuvi pages.
