About the car icon: I figure I can either wait for Motorola to offer a selection of cartoon cars, the way Garmin does, or I can just go out and buy a blue, triangular automobile that sort of waggles from side to side a lot.
Then the Camel will only need to wait for another few updates for the car/triangle improvments
Not that we have seen posted. Should not hurt anything to try it on a 555/565. Screen size could be an issue and sys.txt file may point the skin to "vantage" as opposed to "astra", which is 4.3 inch units. This data.zip will not work with 555/565. It contains 854x358 resolution only (765)...to run on 4.3" the resolution folder from 565 will have to be added to data.zip....If someone was to post one...I'm sure it could be added to allow updates for multiple platforms....you'd just have to adjust sys.txt to assign resolution folder for your specific unit.

Is there a resolution folder in the data.zip? I can't seem to find one, this cant be too hard to get this working for us 5xx users.
Is there a resolution folder in the data.zip? I can't seem to find one, this cant be too hard to get this working for us 5xx users. No, there is not a folder named resolution. The folder for the TN765T is 854_358 then open the ui folder and you will see all the files are followed by the 854_358. Most of the work to modify the Skin is done with the navigatemap_854_358 file. I do not have a TN565T to explore but you are probably looking for a file like 480_270and then the ui folder that has all of the files followed by the 480_270 resolution.I hope this will be of some help.Ramrodsr
I do hope SciFi2010 will still continue to add contributions to this project. He has been silent/missing for awhile.
Since I am a bit anal about balance I would like to see the "mph", "ft.", "mi." the same font size as AM and PM and either all uppercase or all lowercase. My 1st preference is all uppercase. Just my 2-cents worth and for your consideration.
Do I need the Motoextras Toolbox to be able to install the skin? I can't get the skin to work, even when I install it via PC, mind you an older PC with Windows XP. But I don't have the toolbox. I was figuring I should just be able to download it and drag and drop it into the motonav folder on the device. no such luck. If I have to, I'll just have to find someone with a PC with Windows 7 and hijack their system for a bit. This is driving me nuts!! I even emailed Moto about it and they're bouncing me around... Any thoughts?
I don't understand if that's the case it should be showing up twice the size that's the way it formats in the dashboard under trip info?
@JbizzleDo you have XP with SP2? it must have something to do with USB version, when you hook up your device to PC with USB cable does it pop up auto play context menu with options to open folder to view files, if not you need to update your PC
What's your point? Just go into Settings > System > Units and change it to Kilometers and that is what you will get on the screen. mph is not hardcoded on the screen.
Jbizzle, Try walking outside toward the street, that is what I have to do while at home if I want the Current Street to come up.Evidently you got it to boot, and 6.2 is working for you?DO NOT NAME IT DATA.ZIPJUST DATA NOTHING ELSE.Ramrod 8)
I got it to boot by changing the name to DATA.zip. Then I walked to the street to see it the skin loaded, but no luck. Then I came back and changed it to "DATA". It won't boot up if it's just called "DATA". It loads about 80%, then just keeps attempting to boot unsuccessfully.
It's uploaded on the site now. url: www.echofoxx.com/gpsthe files are listed by version i.e "Data(6.2).zip"http://www.echofoxx.com/gps

Ok guys, as an early adopter 765 owner, I have to jump into this! First off, big thanks to SciFi and RAMRODSR for their awesome efforts! I have tried a few of these and they are awesome and make this already great GPS, even better!Anyhow, while I love the most recent version(s) by RAMRODSR, am I the only one that wants a colored bar back at the bottom? I know the reason and that most of you want as much map real estate as possible, but it just looks floating there and odd to me. I rarely need to see the map info that would be under the box.It can even be a faded back blue or something. That is why I really like version 5!Anyhow, anyone else missing the colored box?
