1390, Micro SD card size and speed supported

Hello folks,

Can anyone comment on, if all kinds of SDHC cards i.e. all classes are supported in 1390? Garmin website FAQ (https://support.garmin.com/support/searchSupport/case.faces?caseId={a43e2650-1794-11e0-7efa-000000000000}) say that upto 16GB is supported but doesn't comment on the class of SDHC cards.

On the web, there is another word as well that max 4 GB is supported as file system needs to be FAT32 (couldn't find the date of that article) I don't know the file system of 8GB and 16GB cards.

If anyone has tried it, I will really appreciate the comment.

Many thanks in advance.

I have a 16GB Class 10 Wintec card that works fine in my nuvi 755T. I have only tested it with MP3 and JPG files, not maps.

Original system on the card really doesn't matter as you can format them to FAT32 if they happen to come as FAT. I have Class 2, 4, and 6 cards and they all work fine on my Nuvi's. I expect that you may fine quicker access times on the higher class cards but I have Topo maps and JV files on my 8Gb and 16Gb cards and don't notice any access time problems. I think they are both Class 4.
