This was a long time in coming but Navteq has finally increased their flow data to about the same as what Google has.

You have to zoom in quite a bit and its only available on

http// and

I'd read that Nokia had sold 2 million of their Lumia 710 phones in the US so they are all contributing to this flow data.

Nokia is hitting 52 week lows in the market today, they seem to be facing a tough road ahead...
  • Microsoft will end up buying them out its only a matter of time.

MS is also rumoured to be buying RIM.
  • RIM is in worse trouble than Nokia imo but MS could easily buy both.

Oddly enough TomTom Routes right now is showing an abnormally large number of traffic markers especially for this time of day. IMO this indicates they are sourcing some new data source.

It would be odd if TomTom was using Navteq traffic data but not out of the question I suppose.

Interesting, I'm seeing more detail on roads in Eastern Europe that was not there before.
  • Also showing up on Yahoo Maps but not on Bing or Nokia maps oddly enough.

TomTom has started to use all the BlackBerry phones as gps probes - not cell triangulation - gps probes.

Millions of new high quality probes. I was right

I would imagine in Europe also so Patruns you were on the money also!
