Buying from Walmart.

Walmart has the 1450 LMT refurbished for $95.00, does anyone know why not to buy from Wally world? The price is right and free shipping to local store. The only drawback I see is their extended warranty only covers cosmetic and dropped units and scratched or broken screens but nothing if it just stops working. Don't know if that is a reason not to buy or not.

The 1450 is an older model, not officially "discontinued" by Garmin, but listed on their site in the "previous models" category. But I wouldn't hesitate to buy it from Walmart. The 14xx firmware is pretty stable and there probably won't be many future updates (other than map updates), so it should be a good reliable unit. I probably wouldn't bother with an extended warrinty on it tho.
  • Thanks for the reply, think I will get it tomorrow.
