Hello, I am overwhelmed at the amount of Handheld GPS's there are out there So I thought I would ask for your thoughts on a handheld unit for riding.
I live in the Pacific Northwest and do a lot of motorcycling through the mountains and along the Pacific ocean and would like to record and download my rides and I'm not sure if this is called a "TrackLog" feature ? and if any handheld units even have this capability right now. Thanks for any Information . ~ Jim

Yep. A tracklog will appear on the map as a line that follows exactly where you went. Actually, this is arguably the most basic GPS feature and virtually every make and model can do it. Where the difference lies will be in the ability to manage a bunch of tracks on the GPS itself; choose which ones to show on the map, change the color, etc. Then of course there are many differences between different devices, like screen size, user interface, included maps, and more.

I would suggest that you decide which other features you want because any decent model will record your track. Garmin makes the zumo series just for motorcycles

The Montana is another good choice that would be well suited for hiking as well

TomTom recently updated their motorcycle device also

Glad to help. I'm out in the pine barrens near Mays Landing, maybe 40 minutes from Atlantic City. :)
