connection to the NAVIGON server could not be established

My Navigon app for my old iPhone stopped working after I applied an update. Now it directs me to the 'map manager' page, which tells me it can't connect to their server.

Is this just a server down issue?

I did a 'reset', no luck...

  • Was this an app update or the O/S update?
  • I updated Navigon first, then the OS to iOS 7... I didn't actually use the app after the app update, not sure if I even started it up.
  • If you uninstall the app and try and reinstall it, does it now show as not compatible? (Android user here so I am not entirely sure how the Apple Store works.)

    My money is on the O/S update breaking the app.
  • The app update that came right before the OS update was (in theory) supposed to prepare for the US update.

    And I just tried Map Manager on another iOS device and that seems to see the server, so you may be right... I'll try the uninstall/reinstall thing and see what happens.
