New Map 940 Update

Haven't gotten any updates for my XXL540TM for the new map when logging on to the computer. It is a month since this announcement.

    TomTom screwed up when the 940 map was released in that the 940 map was too large to fit the 2 gb internal size of the 540 and the zoned maps weren't initially available. They apparently are now and supposedly there is a way for you to format the drive as fat 32 AFTER doing an Explorer backup and then restoring.

    BUT make a call to customer support to assist with the process if you are interested in getting the (now) 941 map. The number:
    866 486 6866

    Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EDT
    Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EDT

    If I wait do you think a new map will be available in the near future so it fits on my 540?

    Things will only get worse in February with the 945 maps, I think. Make the call and see what you can achieve now for the device.
