I'm not going to get into a discussion about which GPS is best for you as most of them pretty much have the same or almost the same features these days. Other than screen size you haven't really given us much indication of what features you want or need so recommending a specific brand or model will be difficult.

As far as red light and speed cameras are concerned, if your in North America, IMO the very best source would be POI-Factory.com. Their red light and speed camera POI files are updated pretty much weekly and although they will come with a small fee if that's all you want from the site, they can be free by participating in the forum discussion their.

I did sasy what I wanted and there are not much to choose from if you keep to the latest models

I said 5 inch to 6 inch, I said not a bottom line, or top of the line, and I said free red light and speed cams. knowing POI whatever you gotto pay..

Afraid if you insist on free red light and speed cameras you're unlikely to get one. The best might be some website that will provide them for free but they're then unlikely to be any good or up to date.

I use a site that cost me for a years membership but since then I've had free renewals as I've managed to report new cameras to help keep it up to date. Don't regret my first payment as over the six additional years I've been awarded the cost per year is less than a few euros/dollars.

You could also just obey the speed limit and stop at all the red lights. That's free. :))

Your not going to find many, if any, camera files for free unless your willing to contribute as I mentioned before. There are thousands of these cameras and it seems a little selfish of anyone to assume that compiling all this data and keeping it up to date should be available for FREE.

As far as your GPS choice is concerned, just pick any listed on https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/cOnTheRoad-cAutomotive-p1.html,that meets your size and price target. They all do pretty much the same thing. Since you seem to be interested in free, be sure to pick one that has LT and/or LTM or LM in the model name. LT is lifetime traffic and LTM is lifetime traffic and map updates, and LM is lifetime map updates.

Sorry but you said in bold and suggest to view models,

Magellon makes one and with a free alert system by phantom yet does ot say pay prescription, so that is why I ask.

If I need to get a red light camera it is a reason not for disobeying a law it is for being safer about school zones that POP up out of nowhere, maybe your town Airs BIG giant signs saying Camera here, so you can slow down more for obeying, but over here There are no signs at all

I have no problem buying a gps rdar dectectr with red alert only

sorry but not pritaing things Obeying things to you its an argument not me I am discussing but thanks for your help

What forums were for yet this site is helpful when need be....

If school zone alerts are important to you, you may want to look at one of the newer nuvi's (like the 3597LMTHD) that have built in school zone alerts. These alerts not only alert of school zones, but also alter the speed limit display based on time of day/day of week. The coverage in North America isn't 100% but is improving with each map update. You can combine this with the red light/speed camera database from POI Factory as t923347 has already suggested.

    Here are some nuvi models that have built in school zone alerts: 55, 56, 65, 66, 2447, 2448, 2457, 2467, 2468, 2497, 2498, 2547, 2557, 2567, 2568, 2577, 2597, 2598, 2757, 2797, 2798, 3587, 3597, 3598. There may be some others.
  • thank you, to some this was hard for them to do.....

One day in NJ they will post those speed cams and when they do we'll here one say.....

As for obeying yes we all try our best, todays tagging and snapping is best to be avoided. And I have better things to worry bout.....

As forum is a place we all ask for help. I do see the other side of the table, and like said when a store limits the use and sites just post limited info, was why I asked.

ranting no raving no venting no, saying thanks
