Google warnings when trying to download Basecamp

Wanted to download Basecamp today and got a big red warning from Google saying "Your connection is not private" and warning that someone could steal info from my computer. I suspect there is something wrong with Garmin's security on their website which makes it vulnerable to attack. Wondering if there's another (safe) location to download Basecamp. I'm just not comfortable going to a site with this kind of warning. Also wondering why Garmin hasn't fixed this.

Maybe an issue with your settings or AV program, I'm getting no such warning.

What is a "Google warning"? Is that a message coming from the Chrome browser? I am using Chrome on the Macintosh and just downloaded with no warnings.

If you do a Google search for "your connection is not private", quite a bit comes up. Seems like Google changed some behavior in a recent version of Chrome such that this message is triggered by various things if you are accessing an http (instead of https) page. I have an old version of Chrome, which is probably why I didn't get an error.

I should have been more specific. Yes, it was a warning from Chrome. I am using the HTTPS Everywhere extension. I disabled it temporarily and the warning disappeared. Thanks!
