How the signals of two or more gps chips are diffentiated ?

I am having this question for a long time. It might be irrelevant, yet anybody please clear this doubt. But I don't think that each gps chip has an unique identification. So, how does this happen....

And if we monitor multiple gps chip locations from the same system, then how they are not confused ?

Thanks in adv...

GPS only receives signals, it does not transmit anything, so there are no conflicts. So its like 100 people all listening to one person who is talking. Now if 100 people were all talking and only one was listening, that would be confusing. But that is not the case with GPS. :)
