Garmin ends Navigon

    Not much of a surprise. I got the Navigon app back when it was one of the only GPS apps for the iPhone. Never really liked it and stopped using, revisited it a couple years ago and deleted it again.

    So, looking at the big picture, what did Garmin get out of buying Navigon? Just eliminating a competitor?

    A combination of IP and engineers, I suspect.
