UPDATE: Looks like 3D Landmark mode has been fixed with Q3_2009. The demo files still do not load so I set up a short simulation route out in Las Vegas, where there are plenty of 3D casinos and buildings and it shows them on the route. Still nothing to get real excited about, but they are there.
In response to davelac - On my 7200 I am seeing street names A-OK in 3D view. Unchanged from previous maps.
If there were pockets of "trusted" users around the country serving as inputs to the database, our GPS software would be even better.
This brings up the question, how do the GPS databases gather current information about POIs? They even have difficulty keeping track of big box stores like WalMart.
Thank you //
Only work for the following PND's listed below.

While Q4_2009 US map update has been "promised" by Navigon they are considerably behind in fullfilling. I wonder how long we have to hold our breath this time?
Are you an employee of Navigon Inc or affiliated with the company in some capacity? Based on your personal info that you are located in Washington, DC one assumes you are a US consumer. By your statement above how would a US consumer purchase a Navigon unit with the "newer features"? Or are your statements directed at the non-US market consumer?
In addition, if the US market isn't dead why aren't 't we receiving quarterly map updates or decent, timely support of consumer questions and concerns, including warranty issues and replacement parts? I don't understand what you mean by "doesn’t mean that when our FreshMaps subscriptions run out, that Navigon won’t be an obtainable unit for the US market" in the above statement?
Just curious and playing devil's advocate here.
I like the change from grey to brown back ground color!
Perhaps we are all whipping a dying horse. While I haven't yet made the move myself, there are many people who will be foregoing dedicated navigational devices and using navigational capabilities on smartphones.

Some of you have been wondering about the status of Navigon, Inc., and their responsibility as it pertains to map updates. They have been very consistent with their European customers in providing US maps, updated on a biyearly basis producing Q/2 and Q/4 maps only. With this being the case, it’s no wonder that our quarterly maps have been reduced to seeing them only twice a year. Their next scheduled update for the Europeans to purchase US maps is, (Navigon release Q2/2010 map of North America).

"Navigon has just updated there website for US customers!"
______________ NAVIGON released Q1/2010 USA Maps
Their U.S. servers must be powered by hamsters now....
You can always download a zip version of the update directly via the website and then delete a few voice languages such as spanish or french. Then it should fit the 2GB card.
I wonder if the POI's are updated?
This version of the maps even has my new streets where I live.
:D
Thanks.
If you have a valid FreshMaps subscription I suggest you find it yourself since you need to log in to your account to gain access.

Never mind. I found it.
There is a new map update called Q1.2010. You probably want to get that. If you run Fresh, the app, it should show you if you are entitled to download the Q1.2010 map update but only if you have your gps tethered via USB and you are registered. Downloading via Fresh is for most a better way to go as it preserves all your Favorites, etc., while installing from the Zipped file (really intended for Mac users running Windows) will wipe out everything and you start from scratch unless you know where to look and how to save your stuff.
Once I unzipped the file, I copied the NAVIGON directory to my SD card which I removed from the 2100max and accessed directly.
VERY IMPORTANT! Perform a backup through Fresh before you start, and after that is completed, do a manual copy of the NAVIGON directory on the card to a folder on the computer.
Once this was done, I deleted ONLY the NAVIGON directory from the SD card. and copied the NAVIGON forlder from the download to the SD card. Returned the card to the 2100max, and Q1 2010 maps were there. Was able to use Fresh to verify the installation. A pain in the neck, but it works on a 2GB card.
I have finnaly received and downloaded 1Q 2010 map update on my 2100t.
I had no problem with the download on a 4G card. But, to my supprise the old a Florida adddress shows up again. This makes me think that the latist update is from some older map.
I've tried to comtact Navigon about this twice, but received no answer.
Now when I click on Navigon Fresh I get this reply:
"Navigon Fresh.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for this in convenience."
I wonder what gives.
Navigon has not been forthcoming with their updates and I'm wonder if we will ever get what we paid for in the long run. I feel Navigon has abandoned us in the U.S.
