Looking for help- OSM on SD card

Hi ya’ll, I’m new to the forum and newly getting into handheld GPS use.

I’m mainly looking to use an etrex 20 on long dirt bike rides as we get pretty far out there. My issue is that my Mac doesn’t have a recent enough version of OSx to be able to download the programs necessary to upload Routable topographic OSM to an SD card.

Is there anyone out there that would be willing to have me send them a new SD card and have them load the northeast OSM to it and send it back? I’d be willing to send a couple bucks through PayPal to cover shipping and some of your time.

I know it’s a long shot but I thought I’d give it a try.

    I don't understand why an old computer prevents you from downloading OSM. You should be able to do that on this website:

    http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl

    But maybe I'm missing something, since I don't use OSM?

    I’m able to download the OSM maps but I can’t download the Garmin mapinstall (need OS X 10.13 and I have 10.10) my computer is slow as it is so I don’t want to risk slowing it down even more....

    You can download old versions of Basecamp/MapInstall here, they go all the way back to 2010.

    If you download the .img file for the OSM map you want from the link Boyd listed above you can copy it onto an sd card. Copy it to the Garmin directory. No need for any software.

    Thanks for the help. I was able to get the maps uploaded to the etrex. Cant wait to use it
