PostTransfering all stored favorites from one Garmin to another  Thu Aug 27, 2009 5:18 pm    Reply to topic Reply with quote

What is the easiest way to transfer a list of favorites from one garmin to another? We have several different Garmins at our buisness and are trying to sync them all together so we can all have the same locations where are customers are located.

Any help would be appreciated
Ty

Tried copying the current.gpx file, but new nuvi says no data found when I click on favorites. Any ideas?

Yes, current.gpx is a file containing all your waypoints which the nuvi writes each time it boots. It doesn't READ that file, just WRITES it. If you name the file something else then the Nuvi should detect it and import everything on boot.

Otherwise, just use Mapsource to receive the favorites (waypoints) from the old gps, then connect the new gps and send them to it.
