Preserving the life of the batteries Fri Dec 07, 2007 3:17 am
If you are not using your TT for a couple of days, is it better it be turned off, plugged and charging (PC or lighter plug) for those 2 days or left not charging and turned off?
Is the unit smart enough to know that it had enough of charging?

Being that it has a Lithium battery, it should be OK with whatever you want to do. These batteries don't suffer from memory effect like NiCad and NiMH batteries of old. I'm not sure about the quality of the charging circuitry, though.

I've been using NiMH AA's for several years now in flash units and compact digicams, they don't have the 'memory effect'. They do however self-discharge more rapidly. I'll be slowly replacing them withe the new technology NiMH such as Sanyo Eneloops that hold the charge for a much longer period of time.
