TT 720 battery Fri Dec 07, 2007 4:35 pm
Getting ready for Go 720 purchase. I've done all the research and only 3 questions remain. 1. How long will a lithium ion polymer battery last? 2. Is it easily replaceable? 3. Where do you purchase a replacement battery?

I have wondered the same, but went for it anyway, twice. I am guessing that its not user replaceable, just like the Ipods, which is why I never bought an Ipod brand MP3 player, so go figure...
Approximately 1,000 full charge cycles, after which it will probably have 50-80% of original capacity, not user replaceable, I don't know where you can find replacements.

Thanks for the quick reply Tim. I have an IPhone that I believe uses the same type of battery and that didn't concern me, so I guess the Go 720 battery should not concern me either, especially if I follow the battery care article.

1. I have test extensively and I found it will not last more than 2 hours (brightness at 70% , Voice at 70%, NO BT, NO Data)
2. Yes ( well, kind of. You need T-5 screw driver, and Flat Edge picker, however, the 1300mAh battery is Silicon GLUE to the board )
See pic below.
3. I haven't find any selling them yet, but 1300mAh cell is not hard to mod.

There was a link somewhere in this site that also showed the content of the 720 (i.e. battery, chip, etc.). It contains more pictures.
I hope someone came across it too. Anyone?
Thanks
