TT One routing (positive post) Sat Mar 08, 2008 9:16 pm
Haven't posted in awhile. I've got the TT ONE 2nd Edition, and I had an interesting time with it the other day.
I needed to go to the Experience Music Project, just north of downtown Seattle. I know about 100 different ways to get there, but I thought I'd let the TT guide me, just for fun. It took me on a route I would not normally have chosen, having lived in the area, but the route it selected sent me right into the parking lot next to the EMP with probably the least amount of hassle. I was quite impressed with the routing on this.
I guess my point is that sometimes these things look like they are taking us on a wild goose chase, but are in fact selecting an excellent route, particularly for people not familiar with the area.
I've had a few moments like that as well. I was so frustrated once at a GPS about the route it picked that I drove both routes and timed it so that I could prove the GPS wrong... Guess who was wrong.
