PostProblem with 720 and Latest Map Guarantee  Thu Mar 13, 2008 1:20 am    Reply to topic Reply with quote

Just got the 720 last week but I cannot download the latest map use the Latest Map Guarantee in HOME 2.2.2.83. The map on the 720 is North America_ 2GB 705.14181 but North America_ 2GB v7.15 is available. I just sent them an email. Any ideas?

Also, TT has no North American support number listed on their site. I had to search around and found 866.486.6866. Hopefully they will answer a call into that number.

Thanks,
DA

I think you might need to give us a few more details beyond "I cannot download". Are you getting any error message? Does the program crash? Does it not appear in the install list?

tomtom.com/support

In the right side of the page where it says 'How to Contact Support' their phone number is listed.

It says that I already have the latest map and that there is no update available. Prior to that message it listed Guam as available for download. I downloaded Guam to see what would happen. It installed that map fine.

Also, that url you gave is not listing a US phone number. I know at one point tonight I found it on their site but it disappeared. That is why I had to search google for it.

Thanks for the reply

Also, if you open the top flap portion of the TomTom 720 box, you'll find the NA support number 1-866-486-6866.

Are you on the United States version of the TomTom website? I can see it when I'm logged in or not logged into their site so long as I'm on the United States version of their site. (Selector in the top right corner.)

I called them today. I had to send them a screen shot of my amazon order and they made it so the map would download during an update, not through the latest map guarantee. Everything is now up to date.
