I bought a nuvi 760 with an MSN Direct cable. Activated the MSN direct today. I just saw four services (Weather, Gas Prices, Traffic, and Movies). It is the old MSN direct, not the new MSN Direct 2.
My questions: Is nuvi 760 capable of receiving MSN direct 2? If yes, why I cannot? Is there a software update for this?

Yes you need to go to Garmin.com and download the webupdater. Then hook your 760 up to the computer and download version 2.60 . This will take care of the MSN 2 and Sirfinstafix2
I had concerns about using webupdater as some reported the problems of non-functional units after applying the updates.
But I just tried and succeeded with no problems. After updating software from 2.3 to 2.6 webupdater found an update for MSN direct receiver, which I applied as well.
I'll test my 760 tomorrow to see if MSN direct 2 will pop up.
BTW, it looks like 2.6 really enhances the GPS reception. My desk is about two feet away from windows with metal blind on. My unit now can have good gps reception (4 to 5 bars) on the desk.

l89kip , The 2.6 download has Sirfinstafix2 which does immensely improve your reception of the satellites. Also the Msn Download will put the MSN2 screen up. Sorry I didn't mention you have to download that too.
Don't panic if the other 4 services don't appear right away after the MSN update. It may take up to an hour for them to pop up the first time, depending on reception.
