I have a 2-week old Tom Tom GO 720 that appears to be turning itself on without anyone pressing the ON button. I have noticed this occurrence several times when entering my vehicle in the afternoon after turning the unit off in the morning upon arrival at work.

Is this a "normal" occurrence with the unit, or am I overlooking something? If not, then I'll have to return the unit as defective.

Not normal. I wish my 920 would automatically turn on when I turn the car on like Garmin's do.
