I've been a Nuvi 350 user for the last 2 years and recently attempted to use the gStart utility I've had loaded on my PC for some time. When I launch the program, it does not find my 350. I then remembered when I first tried to use the gStart some time ago it acted the same way. I can open folders, etc on the 350 so I know the PC "sees" the Nuvi. Any ideas?

As far as I know the purpose of gstart is for some of the other Garmin models so that when they are connected it is automatically recognized and some action is performed. For example if you connect a forerunner, the gstart program recognizes it has been connected and will automatically download any new workout information.

Thus it wouldn't really impact a Nuvi at all since it doesn't know what you have in mind and there isn't any sort of "default action" to perform when it is connected.

That is what I remember of it anyway.

Sounds good to me. I haven't used the gStart utility so as far as I can see, it's of no value to me. I'll remove it from my PC.
