Anybody had text message success with GPS & Alltel phone

Hello- I'm new. I was just brousing the site and I found a message where someone said they got bluetooth working between a Garmin GPS and an Alltel phone with all features working except text messaging. I have a razr v3 which Garmin's phone compatibility sight says will work with my C550, but I'm getting all features working except text messaging as well. I called Garmin today and the tech support tried many things but we still couldn't get the text messaging feature working.

Just wondering if it's Alltel that's the problem. Has anyone had success with using the C550's bluetooth text messaging feature with an Alltel serviced cell phone?
