I have been researching GPS units for a couple of weeks now, and I have narrowed my search down to a few units. I am wanting to stay under $200. I have been looking at the new MIO c220, the ViaMichelin X-930, the Garmin I5, and the Lowrance iWay 250C. All of these units have their plusses and minuses. I have found that you will find mixed reviews on almost every GPS there is, even the more expensive ones. The thing I don't like about the Garmin and the Lowrance is that it is outdated technology. I am leaning toward the MIO C220 because it is supposed to have the latest Teleatlas maps installed. Do you have any recommendations for me? I don't see where you have reviewed this model yet, Have you?
Thanks in advance for your help.

They do not use the SiRFStarIII.

Of the four you mentioned, the Mio is probably the best pick. I wasn't very impressed with the iWay 250c, and the STP i5 has a tiny screen.

Thanks, That's the way I was leaning. Is there any other devices you would recommend me looking at in the same price range? I may even go a little bit higher if there is a device that would be much better.

Yes, the Nuvi 200 from Garmin and the TomTom ONE would be good devices to consider.
