Got the mod from the new man of the day jyqureshi from gpspassion.

He was able to delete the info bars on the top and bottom. I just did this mod myself.

Since I don't use or need the phone and music icon on the nagivate screen I will soon delete them.

MTurbo,

When you delete the phone and music icons, will the freed up space be used to display the name of the next street. If that make the street name scroll less, it will be really cool. I don't really like the way they put so many non-essential icons there and make one of the most important information scrolling on the screen. I am kind of hesitant to make any mod so far. But if there is a mod to get rid of the scrolling for the street names, I will definitely give it a shot.

Thanks.

I asked the same question if you were to delete the 2 icons and spread out the top display could the name of the street be displaed in full.

Might be lots of work to get that done?

What's wrong with full screen mode? With a quick tap on the screen to get the blue bars again to see the information. I like the full screen mode, not sure I like this transparent screen. Matter of opinion, I guess.

Cheers!

I guess the feeling is that you cant get all the info packed in even in Enhanced FS Mode. No scrolling bar or satt reception button. However, with the Home icon placed in EFM, the case for the mdofication aboveb is less clear cut. Matter of preference really.

Personally I like this transparent menu. I like to see the time of arrival, speed, gps signal reception etc.

I actually don't need any of the top icons but, would keep the bottom ones.

Everybody has their preference and choice. Smile

This is almost done I changed the text to black so I can see it during the daytime. I have to work on the left turn arrow now and Im all done. Smile

The colors are all in a RGB format 0 being none to 255 (decimal)being max intensity.

For the black I had used in the rgb map 20(decimal). You need to convert this to hex 14 so for each color I used 141414.

Also if anybody needs to adjust the background colors its in the area 'Built up Areas' in the day3dcolor.ini
I used 180, 190, 130 for a slighty deeper green background.

Just did jyqureshi, auto text mod for the transparent menu. Great mod, I like the full screen look with the icons and info at the bottom bar.

I changed jyqureshi daytime color navy blue(000041) for a black text(141414).

I like the vibrant pop it gives. Smile

I changed the auto night time text from white to a off yellow. Maybe I will go a bit more vibrant in the yellow. Will try it for a few days.
