I just got a nuvi 760 and can't seem to find a way to simply reverse the route without having to reenter anything. I've looked in the users manual online but nada.

You can't reverse a route. It isn't as simple as you might think due to one way roads, turn restrictions, etc. See this thread.

Where to>recently found or home may work in many instances to get back to your origin. Tim, of course, is correct.

Thanks, I'm slowly finding the realizties of having detailed turn by turn navigation and it's limitations. I've been using several mapping programs on my PC and PDA for years and most can reverse the route fairly easily. However they don't provide voice guidance and don't always deal well with specific situations like those mentioned.

Yeah, of course it is kinda crazy that the functionality doesn't exist... It would be somewhat difficult to determine just how literally to take some locations when you reverse it. If you add a via/waypoint that is on an interstate, it will pick either the n/s or e/w lane. If you reverse it... so you really want that exact same waypoint? Probably not.

However let's say you were dropping off packages for an event in the morning and added via/waypoints for each location, then at the end of the day you wanted to drive back and pickup results. You reverse the route and one of those points is on a one-way street. You can't just go backwards, but you probably do want to keep the exact same waypoint unlike the example above.

Due to those types of odd situations, rather than trying to build functionality that tries to guess what you were really trying to do, they just don't offer the feature. Smile And in many cases that is probably best so that they don't incorrectly make any assumptions about your intentions.
