Tap the green bar at the top. Should give you travel time to each of the stops
It does, but gives the time to each turning point and is therefore of little use. If I'm travelling a route with one Via point (to pick up a friend from a rail station - the Via point), I want to know what the eta is at the rail station as well as at the destination.
I think he is looking for the 'clock' time at the via point, not the duration. So he doesn't want to know that he will be there in one hour and fifteen minutes, but rather he wants to know that he will be at the via point at 4:15pm.
On my 770, tapping the green bar shows the distance from each turning point to the next; if I scroll down to the Via point, I can see the distance/time to it - but not the actual time of arrival! However, I have to touch the down arrow a large number of times (at the start of the route anyway) to get to the Via point. That is not very practical when driving. I want to see the eta's at the Via point and Destination with no more than one 'touch'. Doesn't appear to be possible - am I missing something?

Yes, that's correct. I find it amazing that such a basic feature is missing from such a high end device! There are a large number of scenarios where such info would be useful: making a booking at a restaurant Via point; picking someone up at a transportation Via point etc.
Except that it does show the time you will arrive in the lower left corner! The only place you cannot see that is on each individual stop on a multistop route. From A-B, it's clearly displayed.

And that is what he is looking for.
I found the need for that feature once too. I was on a long drive that had a ferry crossing in the middle. There were actually two different ferry crossings I could use, about 10 miles apart. I knew the times each ferry was scheduled to depart, so I could determine from that feature which one was the faster one to take... I figured out that based on the time I would get there, I'd miss the South ferry by about five minutes so it was actually faster for me to drive the extra 10 miles to get to the Center ferry where I would only wait about 5 minutes to get on.
Correct you are. I have (admittedly) found where it would be easier to figure arrival time on a couple of occasions. Not that it can't be done just by adding the remaining travel time to the current actual. So that the screen remains uncluttered, it would be great if you could just toggle the displayed time to show time to as well as time of arrival like on the HP310 without an additional dialog box..
Exactly! I can't believe that most users wouldn't need such a feature from time to time. I emailed Garmin about this but, of course, no reply! Do TT have this feature?
Yes, it's available from TomTom, but you'll lose route optimization, trip stats and tracklogs. Also keep in mind that the displayed time is an estimate only. Could be way off in it's estimate on the TT720/920 compared to your Garmin. (Way off being 20%, 30% or more). So you would need to buy one of the new x30's if you expect the reported time to be anywhere near as accurate as your Garmin
Ahh... just noticed you're in the UK. The travel time estimates for TT there may be a bit better than here in the States. But from posts I've read at a couple other forums, the TT UK/Ireland, etc. maps are not as accurate or complete as the Garmin.
