I saw a short video that talks about getting gas prices on the 930, and that there is a charge for the service. Is that part of the PLUS service?
If I understand correctly, TomTom HOME requires connection via your PC and the PLUS service requires the use of a cell phone. Is that correct? I assume you receive only traffic info via the FM receiver.
I know there are a number of things available as part of the PLUS service. Does each one have its own cost? Is there the option of receiving gas prices or any of the PLUS services via a cell phone? Not sure why I had that idea.
Unless you can download them several times/day I'm not sure there's much point to downloading gas prices via HOME, at the moment anyway. They change too quickly.
Yes, there are a number of PLUS services, some cost money (fuel prices, traffic) and some are free (buddies, weather).
If you have a compatible phone, you can download the fuel prices using the data connection over the air. The same goes for a few things like voices, QuickFix data, etc.
