The big powerful speaker and the built in, slick, yet slim and twistable suction mount will greatly attract the enrty level crowd with the elegance and simplicity.

TT stands to gain from the fact that they are all traffic upgradeable as well.

Sly move by TT.

It will certainly create some interesting match-ups.

3.5 TTS: TomTom ONE 130s vs Garmin Nuvi 255

4.3: TomTom XL 330 vs Garmin Nuvi 250W

TT should win these battles, as the nuvi 200 series is vulnarable. Routing is worse of all the nuvis and the mount advantge of the past has been not only neutralized, but superceded by TT. Pricewise, it think its a wash.

Battle for the low end has begun!

I don't like to be a nay sayer, but has anyone actually tried these mounts? It looks to me like they will place the GPS very close to the windshield. People that have vehicles with very angled windshields may have quite a reach to tap the screens. Comments anyone?

TomTom's existing mounts are pretty short themselves, although these will make them another inch or two closer it appears. I agree, that could be an issue although some pictures I've seen make me believe they could "extend" a little. I'll have more details shortly. Wink
