Finding car in car park with ONE 3rd Ed. Sun May 25, 2008 7:47 pm
I seem to remember seeing a post from Tim explaining that the TomToms have a manual way of finding your car again in a car park, by setting its position as a favourite and then navigating back to that favourite. But when I try to set a route back to the favourite in question, it tells me that no route is possible. It only seems to be able to calculate a route when the favourite is on a street that exists in its map (which of course isn't the case when it's in a car park). Is this a limitation of the ONE, or is there another way of doing this?
That is a limitation of all TomTom models, but you can still easily find your car. Instead of creating a route to the favorite, just go into browse map mode, center on your current GPS position (button in top right) and then zoom in on the map to see where you are in relation to the favorite.
