TT920T keeps freezing/switches off/resets

Can anyone help? I bought a TT920T four months ago and have had nothing but problems. I recently reloaded the Firmware 7.221 after the 7.481 kept giving me nothing but grief.

But today I had had more problems. It has started freezing or switching off and back on again while driving. If it does this, the route I requested has been aborted and its getting me really upset. Not sure if its a coincidence, but it happened a few times as I approached speed cameras!! Sad

Are you using it connected to power cable or on battery?

It was being powered by the in car adaptor when the problem happened

Did you download the speed camera POI? If so I would try deleting it from the device or getting the latest version. i have read other threads were a bad POI has caused various types of problems.

No I didn't download any speed camera POI data.

Does it ever turn itself off and stay off until you turn it back on? If so, and it is connected to power, is the little green light still on after it shuts itself off?

The device always switches back on again after about 2 seconds. When it starts back up, the screen is sometimes frozen at the location where it switched off. Sometimes it doesnt freeze when it goes back on, but always the route has been cleared. The green light goes off and back on again each time. The battery is full and I know the cable is connected properly. This problem has just started happening when I revertd back to the 7.221 Firmware.

Very similar to a 930 issue, except that in my experience, most (not all) cases the device is on battery rather than plugged in. Some others have reported this while connected by power cord tho. I haven't seen any pattern to the reboots, nor has anyone else noted one that has the problem, so I'm at a loss to explain the cause.

Try to disconnect the Bluetooth option, 'turn off when loosing power' ...
Did it ask 'connect to the computer' or something like that all of a sudden ?

My TomTom 920T reboots every once in a while as well.

While driving with the 920T plugged into the car charger, with the GPS set to navigate to a destination, and then all of a sudden, "reboot".

It usually picks up back where it crashed at, and it usually doesn't crash again for another few days.

Anyone else have this problem too? If so is there a fix?

Yep I am starting to have the same re-boot problem. I have isolated the problem, when the temp outside gets close to 90 degrees and I go to pause a podcast with the remote it just locks-up and reboots.
Since I bought it in November and had no problems till June I am assuming its the temp's.
