I see the Macintosh isn't supported on this.

Also notice that under,

Unit Software Current Products

the 300 series and 650 are no longer listed. Mad

You can do it that way or download it HERE and install it direct (offline). This 2nd method also allows you to archive a copy of the update on you HD although there is another good source for archives out there - see the Tips & Tricks forum.

Speaking of Mac - did you know about this? Garmin has posted Project Bobcat software version 2.0.0.5 Beta.

Bobcat Beta

As for missing models - the nuvi 680 has NEVER been listed from Day One, but all 660 updates are the same and worked. Possibly same goes for the missing 650. Question

What do you mean, not supported by Mac? I downloaded the update and it appeared to have entered into my gps via webupdate. Is there a chance that it didn't happen?

Spyder, this is quite a large update, over 8 megs. About as large as the 2.6 that added instantfixII. Leads me to suspect there might be a "gold nugget" in there somewhere. I'm looking!

B-line, it's easy to check. Go to "Settings">"System", then tap "About" at the bottom of the screen. Software version near top of the next screen. If it says 3.00, then I guess you can load it via a Mac.

Gator - I see that - 8.80MB. Wonder why they have it listed as only 5.08 MB. (Edit: Duh! - it's zipped) I hope you find something "good" in there. If not a "golden nugget", maybe they loaded it with "Easter eggs" for you guys to find. Cool

I don't have any of those models so you are on your own up the Chilkoot Trail.

I guess I'm confused. When I follow the following link

http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=010-00657-10

I only see download for IBM compatible computers.

I do see my Nuvi already has the 3.0 update though, so I guess I'm OK.
