comparing Tomtom xl 330s to garmin nuvi 255w

Hi,

I've compared these two units side-by-side by the spec sheets. They seem to be really similar. What are some other differences between these two that the spec table doesn't say? Perhaps things like:
qwerty keyboard
lcd display quality
speed

I should say that I already have a Garmin handheld gps with topo maps, but I can't imagine that it matters since I would think that a car gps is pretty much a self-standing unit and wouldn't need to share maps between different units.

If you already have a Garmin you like, you might be well off to stick with that.

The gps I have is for hiking/cycling, so it's interface I'm sure is very different from the car/navigation units. But Garmin seems ok though.
