Unable to register/get 2009 maps Tue Jun 24, 2008 1:38 am
I received my Nuvi 760 from Costco today. I tried to register and it said I needed to install communicator, which I did. After repeated trys on the test page, it kept saying I needed to install communicator. I also tried installing the drivers, which installed OK. The 760 shows up on my computer as a new drive,and communicator shows up in progarms in control panel. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling communicator and rebooting several times, but no luck. So, no matter what I try, I can't register. I want to get the 2009 maps, but can't without registering. Help please!

yeah, there is a thread a few down entitled "Download 2009 Maps nuvi200" where someone was having a similar problem though with a different Nuvi. I'm not sure what's up with communicator but it looks like Garmin tech support can help you through it.
