Problem after SW update on Nuvi 200

I've had this nuvi for 1 week. It came with SW 4.00. I updated to 4.10 thru Webupdate, when I first used it. Everything seemed to work OK. Last night, I updated the SW to 4.30 (thru webupdate). Now, I don't get the early instructions like, " In 2.2 miles turn right, in .2 miles turn right, turn right". All I'm getting is "Turn right", just as I approach the turn. I didn't change any settings, just did the SW update. I tried hitting "Restore" in all of the "Settings" (Navigation, Maps .....), but that didn't help. Has anybody else updated to SW 4.30? Is there anyway to switch back to 4.10 to try to verify if 4.30 is the cause. I e-mailed Garmin, this morning, but it could take up to 3 days for a reply. Thanks for any help.

I just saw a similiar post on this. My guess is that either there is a bug in the update or the update changed a default in the settings. Since I do not have a Nuvi, try looking through all the settings to see if there is a warning in advance or some other kind of setting for advance announcements. If not, maybe someone else can confirm that the update is faulty.

is there a fix to this problem? i updated to 2009 maps and it forced a firmware update to 4.30 , now i only get the "turn right" or "turn left" or "recalulating" no other verbal directions wahtsoever. how can i revert back to a prior firmware version? when i called garmin they basically said it was software problem and i can return the unit and wait for a replacement which may take up to 2-3 weeks!!
