I would like to purchase a GPS for my truck that could accept arbitrary route downloads. Most trips I plan routes in advance for scenery and I would like to have the GPS lead me along this route. I sometime finish a big trip on the back roads and I can use the help guiding me through it. It seems that manufacturers do not allow the user with that control. Do you have a suggestion?
Thanks for the link. Reading the site gives me a feather to look for. I can imagine that many people only care about the most efficient routes. I do many times, but I also like to explore routes that I have not taken. I would like complete control of the route generated (turn by turn). I can imagine that this feature will do this, however I expect that programming it is terribly awkward with effort to set up.

I beleive you can do what you're asking for with a TT ONE XL or XLS. Its called Itenary lets you set multiple waypoints or destinations. Can even use 3rd party apps to do with Google maps then transfer to TT.
