I'm not sure I understand the question. I asked people to guess what day of the week GPS prices are typically lowest. So far nobody has offered a response.
Of course it will start to be easier as I start to narrow down the results. Thanks for your guess! Tuesday is actually the most expensive day to purchase a GPS, at an average price of $346.

Tim - Interesting "trivia" question you have posed. Other than Black Friday, I assume this question covers both online/internet and brick 'n mortar purchase sources throughout the rest of the year. Based on that assumption I have no idea - so this is truly a quess: Thursday.
It is based on stores who provide prices to Shopzilla/BizRate. So they could be internet only stores and they could also be brick and mortar stores who also sell online like Wal-mart, best buy, CC, etc.
Thanks for the guess. Thursday is actually tied for the 5th and 6th slots for the best day, at $339. We'll give you the number 5 slot though.
If I'm allowed a second guess, let me try Sunday. I say that because the Sunday newspapers have numerous inserts alluding to sale prices and it seems many sales start (and possibly end) on a Sunday.
I was gonna guess Monday too because more folks probably are not in the buying mood, so the retailers can take a bigger risk to look good.
The ads are still likely seen by tired out consumers suffering from the case of the Mondays, so the retailers jack up the prices on Tuesday when unweary buyers have mustered up enough warewithall to wander into the store, highly motivated to buy something, and then they do!
Won't the "best day to buy a PND" vary from week to week, month to month, and retailer to retailer? What value does this sort of "average" survey have?
One can always get the instantaneous survey of the vendor with the lowest price from sites like pricegrabber once we are ready to buy...
All the man asked for was a guess as to what day of the week GPS units are typically at their lowest. He simply asked the time and you're telling him how to build a clock.
So Tim got us all stirred up and excited, and now he's stopped posting answers on this thread?
I'm working in Los Angeles this week in deep planning on "what's next" for this site so I haven't been able to spend much time in the forums this week. I will fill in the blanks, probably later this weekend when I start to get caught up.
Based upon the latest scientific evidence available compiled through exhaustive research using Spirit-Writing, Clairvoyance, and Out-Of-Body Astral Projection I have determined the best day to purchase a GPS on the Internet.

I'd love to provide an answer, but unfortunately, I don't think there is any correct answer to his question (despite Gatorguy's post).
I would love to find out the best day/time of the week to buy PND, plasma TV, smartphones, and any number of things ..
Seriously, I doubt that there is any good answer as to when electronic gadgets are the cheapest, especially with so many discounted sales channels on the Web.
