PostCalling up coordinates from my nuvi 750 favorites ????  Tue Oct 28, 2008 7:17 pm    Reply to topic Reply with quote

I'm new to the auto GPS so please excuse me if this topic has been covered. I tried a search but to no avail.

When the "where am I" function is used it initially displays the coordinates. If I add this position to my favorites I'd like to be able to call up the coordinates again but I don't know how. The position will be listed in favorites but no actual coordinates are listed.

Can this be done and if so......how?

Maybe you could try naming/renaming the desired Favorite with your coordinates instead of an actual "name". I don't know off hand what the maximum number characters you're limited to in a Favorite name but you could give it a try and find out.

I haven't done this for awhile, but I think you can touch the favorite on the 2D map screen, then "set location" to get the coordinates.

Tools, Settings, System, turn Simulator mode On. Hold Back until back to main screen.

Where to?, Favorites (or POIs, Recently Found, etc.), pick one, Show Map, Set Location. hold Back to main screen.

Tools, Where Am I? will then show details for that location (including coordinates, etc.).

Or on your PC open your Current.gpx from GPX folder of your gps with Google Earth (you don't need Plus), right click on a waypoint, click Properties.
